Allego Community Explores Best Practices in Sales Learning

At Allego's second annual Sales Success Summit in Boston, nearly 200 sales leaders and enablement professionals from diverse industries gathered to share best practices and explore modern sales learning strategies, emphasizing Allego's innovative use of mobile, video, and peer collaboration technologies, while keynote speakers and customer panels highlighted principles of effective, continuous, and experiential sales training to maximize performance.

Nearly 200 sales leaders, trainers, and enablement professionals gathered at Allego's second annual Sales Success Summit (S3) customer conference. The event, held at the Revere Hotel in Boston on April 30 and May 1, featured 25 customer speakers, four Trailblazer Award presentations, six partner sponsors, and Allego-led breakout sessions focused on strategies for maximizing sales performance with the platform.

This year’s S3 explored the rapidly evolving landscape of modern sales learning and highlighted early adopters of new training and enablement models. Attendees from industries such as financial services, medical devices, high tech, and pharmaceuticals discussed strategies to transform traditional sales training. Allego’s approach combines mobile, video, and peer collaboration to address the dynamic needs of sales teams.

Yuchun Lee, president and co-founder of Allego, noted the significant growth of the event and emphasized the importance of using new technology to create effective learning environments. He highlighted the benefits of bringing customers and partners together to share experiences and best practices. Lee’s keynote outlined five principles of modern learning:

  1. 1.Incorporating new technology and understanding how the human brain absorbs information.
  2. 2.Enabling experiential and informal learning tailored to individuals.
  3. 3.Providing continuous, bite-sized content that is easy to create and access.
  4. 4.Reinforcing knowledge to ensure retention among sales teams.

Customer Stories and Presentations

Presenters included Allego’s co-founders, CEO Yuchun Lee and President Mark Magnacca, as well as VP of Product Andre Black. Several Allego customers from various industries participated in panel discussions and case studies on topics such as building a global community, creating engaging content, new hire onboarding, using Allego as an LMS, and leveraging Allego data for performance reporting. The closing keynote by Mary Shea, principal analyst at Forrester Research, addressed how changing B2B buyer and seller dynamics are prompting organizations to rethink their training strategies.

Mary Shea emphasized that underinvestment in digital tools like video, micro- and reinforcement learning, analytics, and scalability is holding organizations back. She advised that modern tools give sales reps flexibility in how, when, and where they learn, making up-to-date training and enablement tools a key factor in attracting and retaining talent.

Trailblazer Award Winner

Allego’s Trailblazer Award recognizes companies that exemplify modern sales training and enablement through innovative strategies using the Allego platform. This year’s finalists were Apptio, Becton Dickinson, BlackRock, and Tableau Software, selected by a panel of industry experts. Each finalist presented at S3, and the audience voted for the winner.

BlackRock was chosen as the Trailblazer Award winner for delivering timely insights to their sales team, fostering a culture of idea-sharing among geographically dispersed employees, and scaling manager feedback evaluations.
